FULL-TIME:

Marketing and Events Director-Full-time, full benefits offered. Salary $59,296 to $69,760 annually, DOE. The Director will be responsible for supervising and directing all events and marketing efforts and related staff for the City. This position is responsible for all aspects of producing and executing annual festival-type events for the City.  The incumbent will identify the necessary focus for marketing efforts based on direction from the City Council, the City’s Annual Goals and Objectives and the current trends in tourism. The Director will also have web content/internet marketing duties and responsibilities such as writing, editing and proofreading new content for City websites; working with developers to assess any technical challenges in displaying web content; and working with developers to improve and maintain City websites. Additionally, this position will perform various municipal obligations, including serving as the Public Information Officer, communicating the City’s position on topics and issues to the media and public in general. The incumbent in this position must also have the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and foster positive relationships between different organizations/entities and the public; and the ability to prioritize tasks, and possess excellent time management, problem prevention and problem-solving skills. This position requires at least two years of college level business-related education, or substantial experience in developing and executing events or a combination of both. Successful applicant must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite. A successful applicant must also be self-motivated and creative. Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and can provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years.

Police Dispatcher-Full-Time, full benefits offered. Salary $33,018 to $38,845 per year; DOE. Job Duties Include: processing emergent/non-emergent calls for Police, Fire and EMS. Must be able to: monitor and answer multi-channel radios and monitor additional frequencies for adjacent jurisdictions; maintain accurate and current awareness of the status and location of all personnel and equipment; operate computer terminals to enter, query, modify and/or delete data from NCIC/CCIC and CAD systems; maintain confidentiality; monitor building surveillance equipment. Must also be able to perform well in high stress situations, work within a team environment, assist with various clerical duties and assist the public. Shift work required for 24/7 emergency operations.

Requirements Include: Experience preferred. Must be 18 years or older, have a valid Colorado Driver’s License or obtain one within 30 days, pass background check, polygraph, psychological exam, drug test, audiogram, computer skills test and other job specific testing. An acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years must be provided. High school diploma or GED required. Police Officer – Full-Time, full benefits offered. Salary $46,460 to $54,658 per year; DOE. The City of Cripple Creek Police Department is now accepting applications for a full-time Police Officer. Patrols assigned beat on foot, or in patrol car to control traffic, prevent crime or disturbance of peace, and arrest violators. PART-TIME:

Animal Control Officer-Part-Time, no benefits offered; $13.06-$17.67/hour, DOE. The City of Cripple Creek Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of a part-time Animal Control Officer. The Officer will perform the day to day activities of the animal shelter operation within the regulations of the Colorado Department of Agriculture Pet Care and Facilities Act; also performs the task of animal control enforcement including patrol and enforcing municipal animal control ordinances. Must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid Colorado driver’s license, and a high school diploma or GED. Experience in the care and handling of animals is desirable. Must pass a background check, psychological exams and a drug screen; and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years.

Events Assistant-Part-Time, no benefits offered; $11.85-$13.94/hour, DOE. The Marketing and Events Department is now accepting applications for this position, which assists with all aspects of the special events preparation, coordination and execution, including street setup and closures, tent and stage setup, and any additional duties needed for special events. The position is mainly on event weekends throughout the year, assisting with the setup and tear down of the events, rather than the planning beforehand. This position does not have a regular part-time schedule, but instead is part-time as needed. The assistant will also assist the Director with the distribution of marketing pieces. Requirements: ability to perform light to moderate physical work and to regularly lift and carry 75 lbs., sometimes up to 100 lbs.; excellent communication skills; the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays; a high school diploma or GED; a valid Colorado Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days; and you must be at least 21 years old. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check and provide an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record from any state in which the license has been held within the previous 3 years.

Program Assistant I– Part-Time, no benefits offered. Starting pay $11.10/hour, DOE. The Parks and Recreation Department is now hiring for this position, which will require several responsibilities including assisting licensed child care program preparing, planning and implementing activity programs, possible receptionist duties, and may substitute for other youth programs. Other duties may be assigned under the capacity of these programs. Requirements: must be at least 16 years old, possession of a current certificate in First Aid and CPR or the ability to acquire within 60 days; a thorough background investigation including TRAILS; and must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Transit Driver- Part-Time, no benefits offered. $11.10/hour (no CDL), $11.85/hour (CDL), DOE. Duties include transporting visitors and citizens to various locations throughout the City; also will be assisting the disabled as necessary. Colorado CDL C or higher with P1 endorsement preferred, but will be allowed 3 months to obtain. Requirements: high school diploma or GED; 21 years of age or older; pass a pre-employment drug test and background check; provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Nights and weekends required.

Requires a high school diploma or GED.
