Police Dispatcher-Full-Time, full benefits offered. Salary range $33,018 to $38,845 yr., DOE. Job duties include: processing emergent/non-emergent calls for Police, Fire and EMS. Must be able to: monitor and answer multi-channel radios and monitor additional frequencies for adjacent jurisdictions, maintain accurate and current awareness of the status and location of all personnel and equipment; operate computer terminals to enter, query, modify and/or delete data from NCIC/CCIC And CAD systems; maintain confidentiality; monitor building surveillance equipment. Must also be able to perform well in high stress situations, work within a team environment, assist with various clerical duties and assist the public. Shift work required for 24/7 emergency operations.

Requirements include: experience preferred. Must be 18 years or older, have a valid Colorado driver’s license or obtain one within 30 days of appointment; pass background check, polygraph, drug test, audiogram, computer skills test and other job specific testing. An acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years must be provided. High school diploma or GED required. Police Sergeant– Full-Time, full benefits offered. Salary range $59,296 to $69,760 yr., DOE. This position performs, supervises and coordinates the daily activities of assigned police officers on a patrol shift; performs all of the regular patrol duties associated with the job of Police Officer. Also performs a variety of responsible and complex technical criminal investigative duties; required to collect facts and determine circumstances relative to the clearing, prosecuting and closing of criminal cases occurring within the City of Cripple Creek. Education requirements are graduation from high school or equivalent; an associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college with course work in criminal justice or related fields is desirable.Experience requirements are four consecutive years of police work within the previous ten years required; patrol and/or investigative supervisory experience preferred. Other requirements include: must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Colorado driver’s license. Patrols assigned beat on foot, or in patrol car to control traffic, prevent crime or disturbance of peace, and arrest violators. Must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid Colorado driver’s license, POST certified, be able to pass all physical and psychological exams, background checks, pre-employment drug test and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from all states in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Requires a high school diploma or GED.

PART-TIME:

Animal Control Officer-Part-Time, no benefits offered; $13.06-$17.67/hour, DOE. The City of Cripple Creek Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of a part-time Animal Control Officer. The Officer will perform the day to day activities of the animal shelter operation within the regulations of the Colorado Department of Agriculture Pet Care and Facilities Act; also performs the task of animal control enforcement including patrol and enforcing municipal animal control ordinances. Must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid Colorado driver’s license, and a high school diploma or GED. Experience in the care and handling of animals is desirable. Must pass a background check, psychological exams and a drug screen; and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years.

Requires a high school diploma or GED.
