Custodian-Full-Time, full benefits offered. Hiring range $31,446 to $36,995 yr., DOE. This position helps keep premises of City-owned buildings in clean and orderly condition, by performing the following duties. Weekends shifts required. Custodial experience is preferred. The successful applicant must pass a pre-employment background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held in t he previous three years; must also hold a valid Colorado Driver’s license or obtain one within 30 days of hire.

Treatment Plant Operator-Full-Time, full benefits offered. Hiring range $46,460 to $66,438 yr., DOE as salary will be commensurate with the years of experience and operator level as outlined below. The operator performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled technical and maintenance work in the operation, maintenance and repair of water and wastewater facilities. Requirements for all candidates include: high school diploma or GED; valid Colorado driver’s license or obtain within 30 days of hire; pass a background check and pre-employment drug test and provide an acceptable driving record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous 3 years.

Operator I: entry-level position, Class D Water/Wastewater operators certification or obtain within one year of hire.

Operator II: specialized training in the natural sciences and/or water/wastewater treatment facility operations, Class C Water/Wastewater operator certification, two years of increasingly responsible treatment plant operations and maintenance experience; this position level requires previous experience equal to or greater than Operator I.

Operator III: specialized training in the natural sciences and/or water treatment facility operations, Class B Water/Wastewater operator certification, three years of increasingly responsible treatment plant operations and maintenance experience; this position requires previous experience equal to or greater than Operator II.

Police Officer Recruit-Full-Time, full benefits offered. Starting Salary $44,247 yr. Under immediate supervision, actively participates in the P.O.S.T. certified police training academy; performs all related learning and testing activities. Police Recruits will be sponsored by the City while attending the law enforcement academy, including academy tuition and an hourly pay rate of the salary above, which is $21.27/hour. Recruits must successfully complete the Academy and be Colorado POST certified prior to starting in the department’s Field Training and Evaluation Program (FTEP). Your hourly rate when you start the FTEP will be the current starting rate for Police Officer, which is currently $28.51/hour. Requirements include: high school diploma or GED; be at least 21 years old; pass all physical and psychological exams, background checks, and a pre-employment drug test, and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Police SergeantFull-Time, full benefits offered. Hiring range $79,462 to $93,485 yr., DOE. The City of Cripple Creek Police Department is now accepting applications for a Sergeant. This position performs, supervises, and coordinates the daily activities of assigned police officers on a patrol shift; performs all of the regular patrol duties associated with the job of Police Officer. Also performs a variety of responsible and complex technical criminal investigative duties; required to collect facts and determine circumstances relative to the clearing, prosecuting and closing of criminal cases occurring within the City. Education requirements are graduation from high school or a general education degree, an associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college with course work in criminal justice or related fields is desirable. Experience requirements are four consecutive years of police work within the previous 10 years required; patrol and/or investigative supervisory experience preferred. Other requirements include: must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Colorado driver’s license. Police Dispatcher Full-Time, full benefits offered. Hiring range $46,460 to $54,658 yr., DOE. Job Duties Include: Processing emergent/non-emergent calls for Police, Fire and EMS. Must be able to: monitor and answer multi-channel radios and monitor additional frequencies for adjacent jurisdictions; maintain accurate and current awareness of the status and location of all personnel and equipment; operate computer terminals to enter, query, modify and/or delete data from NCIC/CCIC and CAD systems; maintain confidentiality; monitor building surveillance equipment. Must also be able to perform well in high stress situations, work within a team environment, assist with various clerical duties and assist the public. Shift work required for 24/7 emergency operations.

Requirements include: experience preferred. Must be 18 years or older, have a valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days, pass a background check, polygraph, pre-employment drug test, audiogram, computer skills test and other job specific testing. An acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years must be provided. High school diploma or GED required. Police Corporal– Full-Time, full benefits offered. Salary range $68,642 to $80,755 yr., DOE. This position patrols assigned beat on foot or in a patrol car to control traffic, prevent crime or disturbance of peace, and arrest violators; supervises police officers when Sergeant is absent. Recommended training will include: Interview and interrogation Training, Domestic Violence Training, Community Oriented Policing, First Responder Training, and Field Training Officer Training. Experience in Traffic Accident Investigation desired. Minimum experience of two consecutive years within the last five years in the police field. Other requirements include: must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid Colorado driver’s license, and have a high school diploma or GED; college course work in police science, criminology, or a closely related field is preferred. Theater Assistant-Part-Time, Temporary, see above document for benefits offered. Starting pay $15.12 per hour, DOE. Butte Theater, responsibilities include working at the box office, house management, light technical and cleaning tasks, and other duties as assigned. Excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills required. Weekends, evenings, and some holidays required. Must be 18 years of age or older and pass a background check.

Reserve Firefighter-Part-Time, see above document for benefits offered. Starting rate $16.71 per hour. Cripple Creek Emergency Services Department. CCES provides fire protection, EMS, and rescue to the City of Cripple Creek and the surrounding area, covering approximately 56 square miles. Minimum Requirements: must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED and a Colorado Driver’s License by time of appointment. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from all states in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Possession of the following is required: Colorado State Firefighter I (or higher) Certification; Colorado State Hazardous Materials Operations Certification; current Colorado EMT Certification.
