Police Officer – Full-Time, full benefits offered. Salary $40,134 to $54,298 per year; DOE. The City of Cripple Creek Police Department is now accepting applications for a part-time Police Officer. Patrols assigned beat on foot, or in patrol car to control traffic, prevent crime or disturbance of peace, and arrest violators. Must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid Colorado driver’s license, POST certified, be able to pass all physical and psychological exams, background checks, pre-employment drug test and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from all states in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Requires a high school diploma or GED.

PART-TIME:

Heritage Tourism Assistant– Part-Time, no benefits offered. Hiring range $10.23-$12.04/hour, DOE. This position will work at the Heritage Center, Information Center, and Outlaws and Lawmen Jail Museum, and any additional city attractions as needed. Customer service experience preferred. Good communication skills are necessary for greeting visitors in person, by telephone, and by e-mail. Computer skills including Microsoft Office preferred. Weekends and Holidays will be required. Requirements: must be 18 years of age or older; high school diploma or equivalent required; and possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held in the previous three years.

Dispatcher-Part-Time, no benefits offered. Starting pay $15.87/hour. The Police Department is now accepting applications for one position as a Part-Time Dispatcher. Job duties include: processing non-emergent calls for Police, Fire, and EMS. Must be able to: monitor and answer multi-channel radios and monitor additional frequencies for adjacent jurisdictions, maintain accurate and current awareness of the status and location of all personnel and equipment; operate computer terminals to enter, query, modify and/or delete data from NCIC/CCIC and CAD systems; maintain confidentiality; monitor building surveillance equipment. Must also be able to perform well in high stress situations, work within a team environment, assist with various clerical duties and assist the public. Shift work required for 24/7 emergency operations. Applicant will have to pass a background check, audiogram, polygraph, psychological exam and pre-employment drug test; and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Requires a high school diploma or GED.

PART-TIME SEASONAL:

Cemetery Maintenance and Care WorkerPT Seasonal, no benefits offered, $10.74 per hour starting, DOE. The Historic Preservation Department is now accepting applications. May-September. Performs duties to maintain and care for the City cemetery grounds. Training or background in natural turf maintenance, irrigation, and minor construction techniques desirable. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent; must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License; must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held in the previous three years.

Custodian-Part-Time Seasonal, no benefits offered. Hiring range $10.20-$11.46/hour, DOE; May-September, up to 29 hours per week. The Custodial department is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Seasonal Custodian. Graveyard shift. Custodial experience preferred, but not required. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check; and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Possession of a valid Colorado Driver’s License required.

Wastewater Plant Intern-Part-Time Seasonal, no benefits offered, $10.23/hour. Position is for three months. Performs water and wastewater plant and systems maintenance and assists in controlling treatment plant machines and equipment to purify and clarify water for human consumption and for industrial use. Also maintains and operates sewage treatment, sludge processing and disposal equipment in wastewater (sewage) treatment plant to control flow and processing of sewage. Requirements: must be a high school senior or junior in good standing and at least 16 years old; must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
