CustodianFull Time, full benefits offered. Hiring Range: $21,216 to $27,424 yr., DOE. Graveyard shift. Keeps premises of City-owned buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing custodial duties.Requirements: Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License or obtain one within 30 days of hire; and have any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of the eighth grade providing the ability to read and write. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held in the previous 3 years. The comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, gap, life insurance, long-term disability, 8% retirement contribution into CCOERA, vacation and sick leave accompanied by 13 paid holidays.

City ClerkFull Time, full benefits offered. Hiring Range: $53,783 to $63,274 yr., DOE. Under administrative direction, the Clerk is a generalist and working leader that expertly performs duties which may be comprised of the following: administration of City Council business, records management, liquor licensing, business licensing, payroll and gaming device management. The qualified applicant will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration or a related field from an accredited college or university, hold Certified Municipal Clerk status, and have 5 years of experience in government, preferably Town/City Clerk; an equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. Requirements: must possess or obtain Notary Public Commission within 6 months of hire; must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License or obtain one within 30 days of hire; and must be at least 21 years old. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held in the previous 3 years. Patrols assigned beat on foot, or in patrol car to control traffic, prevent crime or disturbance of peace, and arrest violators. Must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid Colorado driver’s license, POST certified, be able to pass all physical and psychological exams, background checks, pre-employment drug test and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from all states in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Requires a high school diploma or GED.

PART-TIME:

Animal Control Officer-Part-Time, no benefits offered. Hiring range $13.06-$15.36/hour, DOE.The Police Department is now accepting applications for a part-time Animal Control Officer. The Officer will perform the day to day activities of the animal shelter operation within the regulations of the Colorado Department of Agriculture Pet Care and Facilities Act; also performs the task of animal control enforcement including patrol and enforcing municipal animal control ordinances. Requirements: must be 18 years of age or older; high school diploma or equivalent required; and possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License. Must pass a pre-employment drug test, psychological exams, and background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held in the previous three years.

Requires a high school diploma or GED.

PART-TIME SEASONAL:

Custodian-Part-Time Seasonal, no benefits offered, $10.20-$11.46 hr. June-September, up to 29 hours per week. Graveyard shift. Custodial experience preferred. Wastewater Plant Intern-Part-Time Seasonal, no benefits offered, $10.23/hour. Position is for three months. Performs water and wastewater plant and systems maintenance and assists in controlling treatment plant machines and equipment to purify and clarify water for human consumption and for industrial use. Also maintains and operates sewage treatment, sludge processing and disposal equipment in wastewater (sewage) treatment plant to control flow and processing of sewage. Requirements: must be a high school senior or junior in good standing and at least 16 years old; must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
