FULL-TIME:

Human Resources/Risk Management Technician-Full-Time, full benefits offered. Hiring range $51,222-$60,261 yr., DOE. Under the supervision of the Director,  performs a variety of administrative and field work functions that include but are not limited to new hire and termination processes, benefits coordination and renewal, maintaining employee records, assisting with risk management including management of worker’s compensation and property/casualty claims, those renewal processes and the safety program. Also acts as a liaison between departments, outside agencies and the public. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; any combination of further education and experience including an associate’s degree, training, course work, or work experience in an office setting, with three years of progressively responsible clerical work, preferably municipal government, is desired. The ability to practice discretion, confidentiality and good judgement relating to the job and exhibit a strong work ethic with a focus on integrity and accountability; and the ability to multi-task and mange time effectively are required. Must have excellent communication skills, written and oral, and a proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe or the ability to learn them. Lead Operator-Public Works Department-Full-Time, full benefits offered. Hiring range $51,222 to $60,261 yr., DOE. This position is operates heavy equipment, assists with plans and directs the efforts of Public Works crews in the execution of work assignments. Successful applicant must have any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or GED and two years of related experience in equipment operation; must possess a valid Colorado Class B CDL with air brakes, preferably with a tanker endorsement. Once hired must qualify in American Red Cross CPR and as a flagger within six months and trench safety within one year. Other requirements include passing a background check and pre-employment drug test and providing an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years.

Laborer/Operator-Full-Time, full benefits offered. Hiring range $36,402 to $42,826 yr., DOE. This position performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor in the construction and maintenance of roadways, water and water systems, drainage facilities, and other public facilities; drives trucks and operates equipment incidental to the work. Two years of related experience in equipment operation preferred. Requirements include a high school graduate or equivalent; possession of level 1 water distribution or equivalent or will obtain within 1 year; must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days; must also pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held in the previous three years.

Destination Marketing Coordinator-Full-Time, full benefits offered. Hiring range $48,783 to $57,391 yr., DOE. This position will work with the Director in the production and distribution of marketing pieces as well as website and social media efforts. Assists with all aspects of production and execution of special events for the City and special projects as needed. Education and experience requirements are a high school diploma or GED with some college preferred; significant experience designing and maintaining websites and experience with graphic design programs and/or digital design; experience with advertising placement, scheduling and accounting; and marketing and event production experience preferred. Other requirements include excellent communication skills, written and oral, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. The successful applicant must be able to pass a physical exam and background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years.

Custodian-Full-Time, full benefits offered. Hiring range $31,446 to $36,995 yr., DOE. This position helps keep premises of City-owned buildings in clean and orderly condition, by performing the following duties.  Custodial experience is preferred. The successful applicant must pass a pre-employment background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held in the previous three years; must also hold a valid Colorado Driver’s license or obtain one within 30 days of hire.

Police Officer Recruit-Full-Time, full benefits offered. Starting Salary $44,247 yr. Under immediate supervision, actively participates in the P.O.S.T. certified police training academy; performs all related learning and testing activities. Police Recruits will be sponsored by the City while attending the law enforcement academy, including academy tuition and an hourly pay rate of the salary above, which is $21.27/hour. Recruits must successfully complete the Academy and be Colorado POST certified prior to starting in the department’s Field Training and Evaluation Program (FTEP). Your hourly rate when you start the FTEP will be the current starting rate for Police Officer, which is currently $28.51/hour. Requirements include: possess a high school diploma or GED; be at least 21 years old; possess a valid Colorado driver’s license or obtain within 30 days of hire; pass all physical and psychological exams, background checks, a pre-employment drug test, and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Police Dispatcher Full-Time, full benefits offered. Hiring range $46,460 to $54,658 yr., DOE. Job Duties Include: Processing emergent/non-emergent calls for Police, Fire and EMS. Must be able to: monitor and answer multi-channel radios and monitor additional frequencies for adjacent jurisdictions; maintain accurate and current awareness of the status and location of all personnel and equipment; operate computer terminals to enter, query, modify and/or delete data from NCIC/CCIC and CAD systems; maintain confidentiality; monitor building surveillance equipment. Must also be able to perform well in high stress situations, work within a team environment, assist with various clerical duties and assist the public. Shift work required for 24/7 emergency operations.

Requirements include: experience preferred. Must be 18 years or older, have a valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire, pass a background check, polygraph, audiogram, computer skills test and other job specific testing; and an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years must be provided. Police Corporal– Full-Time, full benefits offered. Salary range $68,642 to $80,755 yr., DOE. This position patrols assigned beat on foot or in a patrol car to control traffic, prevent crime or disturbance of peace, and arrest violators; supervises police officers when Sergeant is absent. Recommended training will include: Interview and interrogation Training, Domestic Violence Training, Community Oriented Policing, First Responder Training, and Field Training Officer Training. Experience in Traffic Accident Investigation desired. Minimum experience of two consecutive years within the last five years in the police field. Other requirements include: must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid Colorado driver’s license or obtain one within 30 days of hire, and have a high school diploma or GED; college course work in police science, criminology, or a closely related field is preferred. Requirements include: Colorado CDL C or higher with P1 endorsement preferred, but will allow 3 months to obtain; high school diploma or GED; must be 21 years of age or older; must pass a drug test and background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous 3 years.
