Police Officer – Full-Time, full benefits offered. Salary $46,460 to $54,658 per year; DOE. The City of Cripple Creek Police Department is now accepting applications for a part-time Police Officer. Patrols assigned beat on foot, or in patrol car to control traffic, prevent crime or disturbance of peace, and arrest violators. Must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid Colorado driver’s license, POST certified, be able to pass all physical and psychological exams, background checks, pre-employment drug test and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from all states in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Requires a high school diploma or GED.

PART-TIME:

Events Assistant-Part-Time, no benefits offered; $11.85-$13.94/hour, DOE. The Marketing and Events Department is now accepting applications for this position, which assists with all aspects of the special events preparation, coordination and execution, including street setup and closures, tent and stage setup, and any additional duties needed for special events. The position is mainly on event weekends throughout the year, assisting with the setup and tear down of the events, rather than the planning beforehand. This position does not have a regular part-time schedule, but instead is part-time as needed. The assistant will also assist the Director with the distribution of marketing pieces. Requirements: ability to perform light to moderate physical work and to regularly lift and carry 75 lbs., sometimes up to 100 lbs.; excellent communication skills; the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays; a high school diploma or GED; a valid Colorado Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days; and you must be at least 21 years old. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check and provide an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record from any state in which the license has been held within the previous 3 years.

Theater Assistant-Part-Time, no benefits offered; $11.10/hour, DOE. June-December. The Butte Theater is now accepting applications for the position of Theater Assistant. Responsibilities include: working the box office, house managing, light technical and cleaning tasks, and other duties as assigned. Excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills required. Must be willing to work weekends, nights, and some holidays. Must be 18 years of age or older. Plant Operations Intern– Part-Time, Seasonal, no benefits offered $11.10/hour, DOE. The City’s Plant Operations Department is now accepting applications for this position. Performs water and wastewater plant and systems maintenance and assists in controlling treatment plant machines and equipment to purify and clarify water for human consumption and for industrial use. Also maintains and operates sewage treatment, sludge processing and disposal equipment in wastewater (sewage) treatment plant to control flow and processing of sewage. Requirements: must be a high school Junior or Senior in good standing, at least 16 years old and pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Program Assistant I– Part-Time, no benefits offered. Starting pay $11.10/hour, DOE. The Parks and Recreation Department is now hiring for this position, which will require several responsibilities including assisting licensed child care program preparing, planning and implementing activity programs, possible receptionist duties, and may substitute for other youth programs. Other duties may be assigned under the capacity of these programs. Requirements: must be at least 16 years old, possession of a current certificate in First Aid and CPR or the ability to acquire within 60 days; a thorough background investigation including TRAILS; and must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Transit Driver- Part-Time, no benefits offered. $11.10/hour (no CDL), $11.85/hour (CDL), DOE. Duties include transporting visitors and citizens to various locations throughout the City; also will be assisting the disabled as necessary. Colorado CDL C or higher with P1 endorsement preferred, but will be allowed 3 months to obtain. Requirements: high school diploma or GED; 21 years of age or older; pass a pre-employment drug test and background check; provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Nights and weekends required.

Animal Control Officer-Part-Time, no benefits offered. Hiring range $13.06-$15.36 an hour, DOE.The Police Department is now accepting applications for a part-time Animal Control Officer. The Officer will perform the day to day activities of the animal shelter operation within the regulations of the Colorado Department of Agriculture Pet Care and Facilities Act; also performs the task of animal control enforcement including patrol and enforcing municipal animal control ordinances. Requirements: must be 18 years of age or older; high school diploma or equivalent required; and possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License. Must pass a pre-employment drug test, psychological exams, and background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held in the previous three years.
