Custodian-Full-Time, full benefits offered. Salary starting at $24,960 yr., DOE. This position keeps premises of City-owned buildings in clean and orderly condition. Graveyard shift, custodial experience preferred. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check; provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held in the previous three years; and have a valid Colorado driver’s license or obtain one within 30 days of hire. Heavy Equipment Mechanic-Full-Time, full benefits offered. Salary range $38,223 to $44,968 yr., DOE. This position performs a variety of skilled mechanical repair work to automotive and power equipment and manages a preventive maintenance program. Minimum of 2 years of verifiable work experience in automotive mechanic work required. 2 years as apprentice or vocational training can be substituted for the experience as a mechanic. Must have a valid Class B Colorado Driver’s License; and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check; and provide an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous 3 years. Laborer/Operator– Full-Time, full benefits offered. Salary range $27,164 to $31,958 yr., DOE. This position performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor in the construction and maintenance of roadways, water and sewer systems, drainage facilities, and other public facilities; drives trucks and operates equipment incidental to work. 2 years related experience in equipment operation preferred. Must possess or obtain a valid Colorado Class B CDL within 1 year. Possess or obtain a Level 1 water distribution or equivalent within 1 year. Requirements: high school graduate or equivalent; possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License upon hire; must pass a pre-employment drug test,and background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous 3 years.

Police Corporal– Full-Time, full benefits offered. Salary range $48,783 to $57,392 yr., DOE. This position patrols assigned beat on foot or in a patrol car to control traffic, prevent crime or disturbance of peace, and arrest violators; supervises police officers when Sergeant is absent. Recommended training will include: Interview and interrogation Training, Domestic Violence Training, Community Oriented Policing, First Responder Training, and Field Training Officer Training. Experience in Traffic Accident Investigation desired. Minimum experience of two consecutive years within the last five years in the police field. Other requirements include: must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid Colorado driver’s license, and have a high school diploma or GED; college course work in police science, criminology, or a closely related field is preferred.Applicant must be able to pass all physical and psychological exams, background checks, pre-employment drug test and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from all states in which a license has been held within the previous three years. PART-TIME:

Animal Control Officer-Part-Time, no benefits offered; $13.06-$17.67/hour, DOE. The City of Cripple Creek Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of a part-time Animal Control Officer. The Officer will perform the day to day activities of the animal shelter operation within the regulations of the Colorado Department of Agriculture Pet Care and Facilities Act; also performs the task of animal control enforcement including patrol and enforcing municipal animal control ordinances. Must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid Colorado driver’s license, and a high school diploma or GED. Experience in the care and handling of animals is desirable. Must pass a background check, psychological exams and a drug screen; and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years.

Must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid Colorado driver’s license, POST certified, be able to pass all physical and psychological exams, background checks, pre-employment drug test and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from all states in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Requires a high school diploma or GED.
